A Very Nice Family Hauler

With the rise in popularity of SUVs and Crossovers on the market, the minivan has fallen out of favour in recent years. Looking at how few models are currently available this is evident, but the few remaining stand strong, ready to move people and possessions wherever they need to go. While SUVs typically offer a more car-like driving experience and seat drivers slightly higher than minivans allow for, there’s no denying that the minivan, with sliding doors and multiple seat configurations, still reigns supreme when gear and passengers need to be moved.

The 2016 Toyota Sienna may be a bit of a wallflower, but is still a good family vehicle. With a 3.5 L V6 engine and six-speed automatic transmission, the Sienna is available in front- or all-wheel drive. Even the base trim includes some pleasant surprises, like a touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity and a good audio system. Higher trims like the XLE come with extras like a built-in Blu-ray player and fold down, double-wide LCD screen.

With audio controls mounted on the steering wheel and voice recognition, the Sienna features three-zone climate control, a backup camera, cruise control and power windows and locks. The seats are comfortable, child’s seats fit nicely in the second and third rows, and there’s plenty of room for cargo.
