Family Wheels Sienna Review
The Toyota Sienna has been around since 1998, and the sales numbers are impossible to ignore: behind the Camry, Corolla and RAV4, the Sienna is Toyota’s fourth best-selling vehicle in Canada. It’s hard to deny the practicality and popularity of Toyota’s minivan. The 2016 Sienna didn’t get a major overhaul (that’s slotted for the 2017 model, with more power and better fuel economy planned) but instead received some sleek tech updates that will help keep drivers comfortable and connected.
The only all-wheel drive minivan on the market in Canada, the Sienna is built with high quality materials to provide a solid ride. For Canada’s white winters, this is an incredible feature other carmakers have overlooked – it makes winter driving much safer. Soft-touch materials are used on the dash, though it has a traditional front console that is in need of an update.
Rear- or front-facing child seats fit in both the second and third row of seating without cramping those in the front row, and there’s an option of 7- or 8-passenger seating. Seats are comfortable, and Toyota reliability shines through.
With a touchscreen infotainment system, backup camera, Bluetooth connectivity and three-zone climate control standard on the base trim, the Toyota Sienna has made sure that all trims come ready to fit your family’s lifestyle.
