Highlander Grand Rapids Road Trip

There’s no better test to run a prospective new vehicle through than that of a road trip. With the 2016 Toyota Highlander, a few minutes to type in end destinations on the 8” touchscreen is all it takes before you’re ready to hit the road.

The mission on this drive was to see how the Highlander handled on the road, and to see how it stood up to the test of a road tripping family. Loaded with little extras that make life on the road with kids easier and more convenient, like second row captain seats that keep a bit more space between dueling siblings, makes for a happier trip overall. The collapsible tray with cup holders between the two captain seats, available as an upgrade, was also incredibly handy for snacks, drinks, colouring and even card games.

After a long day of adventuring, the Highlander is a relaxing, easy drive. Comfortable and packed with features that you don’t know you need until you have, drivers can open the moon roof open to watch the stars come out to lull tired children (and exhausted passengers) to sleep.
